It’s crucial to get the correct flooring for commercial kitchens. It must be secure, robust, affordable, simple to maintain, and simple to deploy. Finding the ideal flooring option for your commercial kitchen environment can quickly become daunting with all these requirements in mind and the wide variety of flooring products available today.

In commercial kitchens in 2021, vinyl flooring (also known as PVC flooring) is a common flooring option, in part because of its affordability and enticing looks. Vinyl flooring in the shape of tiles, planks, and sheets is made of several layers of polyvinyl chloride (PVC). Since vinyl is naturally resilient, it is especially well suited to commercial kitchen tile flooring situations. Vinyl is also readily available in a wide range of patterns and designs, including textures that appear just like real wood and carpet.

Commercial kitchens frequently contain ceramic tiles. Clay that has been baked in a kiln and given a ceramic polish is used to make tiles. Ceramic tiles are resilient, long-lasting, simple to maintain, and easy to clean. A molten glass glaze is then applied to ceramic when it is used in commercial kitchens to shield the surface from water, stains, and wear and tear. Ceramic tiles without this glazing may be more fragile and vulnerable to damage in the high-impact environment of a commercial kitchen. Manufacturers currently make glazed ceramic tiles with a variety of finishes, including wood graining. If a tile is broken, it can be fixed separately, causing the least amount of interruption to the kitchen.

When we compare the two, you can see why vinyl is quickly overtaking ceramic tiles as the material of choice for sheet flooring or commercial kitchen floor tiles. Vinyl flooring is durable, heat resistant, water resistant, and stain resistant, thanks to a digital graphic film layer that is sealed as a base layer. Virtually any design may be printed on the top film layer, enabling vinyl flooring and tiles to resemble real materials like stone.
Highly durable commercial kitchen floor tiles are being implemented in an increasing number of establishments nationwide. Due partly to its affordability and ease of upkeep, but also because of new production techniques and finishing possibilities made possible by technological innovation, this product is becoming increasingly popular. For commercial kitchens, you can now even buy specialized non-slip floor tiles to make sure that working conditions are as safe as possible.
